Nigel Edwards Hughes - Nigel has over 20 years experience in the ductwork trade at E Poppleton & Son Ltd. In early 1995, he was instrumental in setting up and developing Clean Air Services, an operation he heads today. To ensure that recognised National standards were available to clients using Clean Air Services, Nigel followed the E Poppleton & Son Ltd tradition by representing the company on the HVCA Ventilation Hygiene Working Group Committee. This committee was tasked with the development of HVCA -TR 17, in which Nigel played an active part. Nigel holds a NADCA (National Air Duct Cleaners Association) Air System Cleaning Specialist qualification that he updates on a bi annual basis. Nigel is also a member of the (HVCA) Service and Maintenance Executive Committee. In addition to his duties at Clean Air Services, Nigel is responsible for Business development at E Poppleton & Son Ltd. Edgar Poppleton - For nearly 40 years, Edgar has led many of the changes at E Poppleton & Son Ltd and remains an active member of the management team. Edgar oversaw the introduction of computerized estimating, twin seam, and plasma cutting technology to our manufacturing facility. In addition to the high level of activity within E Poppleton & Son Ltd, Edgar also found time to serve HVCA. He commenced as regional representative on the Council, and occupied such positions as Chairman of the Ductwork Group, Chairman of the Finance Committee and President of the Association. Whilst this activity has somewhat curtailed, Edgar remains Chairman of the Ductwork Group Technical Sub Committee on whose behalf he was able to launch HVCA DW/144 Sheetmetal Specification in May 1998. Gareth Vaughan - Gareth has some 27 years experience at E Poppleton & Son Ltd and has been managing director for 10 years. He sees his duties as an enabler, empowering other members of the operational team to make decisions that will impact positively on customers' expectations, whilst maintaining a clear direction for the development of the company. The introduction and the development of CAD, together with our presence on the World Wide Web are a priority as is the embedding of new technologies into our corporate culture. As in the past, the directors take great pride in the development of people within the company through investment in training and the attainment of qualifications. The achievement of IiP (Investor in People) in February 2000 recognises this commitment to our staff and our customer base. Gareth is a past Chairman of the North West Region (HVCA) and is privileged to be the Vice-Chairman of the Ductwork Group Executive additionally he represents the Group on HVCA Council and several other Association committees notably Communications and Operative Standing. David Taylor - David is a Senior Engineer with over 27 years experience in ventilation ductwork. David is responsible for our computer aided draghting facilities David was responsible for the ductwork drawings at the new Selfridges Store in Manchester, the Martin Dawes project in Runcorn and more recently a Clean Room facility for the MITIE Group and a pharmaceutical facility for Thermal Transfer. Dewi Williams - Dewi joined the company a little over two years ago from college, and has a background in engineering drawing. His ability to prepare good quality working drawings from information provided by our clients is excellent and he was responsible for production of working drawings at MBNA Phase 3 in Chester and more recently contracts in London for the Dodd Group. Marc Reeves - Marc joined the company in autumn 1999 having secured a first degree at Loughborough University in Product design and manufacture. Marc has worked on several projects in the short time he has been with the company not least of, which was MBNA Phase 4, a contract the company will complete in March 2000. Steve Laing - Steve joined the company a little over one year ago as an estimator. In this short time Steve has proved himself to be an asset to the company and of great assistance to our potential customers. Olive Farrington - Olive supports all members of the operational staff and is responsible for payroll, and our purchase and sales ledger.
