Contractor of the Year April 2000 |
For the second year in succession, ventilation ductwork contractor E Poppleton & Son Ltd operating from Colwyn Bay, North Wales was honoured with an award at the H&V News awards ceremony held at the London Hilton in April 2000. |

in People 1st January 2000 |
All of the team at Poppleton are proud to announce the securing of the
Investors in People award. The award further demonstrates our commitment
to staff training and development that will positively impact on customer
expectations. |

Contractors Safety Group Certification January 2000 |
During the Christmas holidays, seventeen members
of our site team including contracts engineers and management attended a
two-day Health & Safety Course leading to the award of a three year certification
designed to meet the needs of both Poppleton and our customers. The number
of team members now holding this certification presently stands at twenty
five. |
| NVQ
Level 3 and 2 Awards December 1999 |
At an award ceremony held in Colwyn Bay the Company
recognised the achievement of nine of our installation team in their attainment
of NVQ level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Engineering Installation (Ductwork). |
| Distinguished
Service Award for Chairman July 1999 |
At the HVAC annual dinner, Edgar Poppleton, Chairman
of E Poppleton & Son Ltd received the HVAC Distinguished Service Award.
This is only the third time in the Associations almost 100 year history
that such an award has been presented. |

Years of Service December 1999 |
Since 1924 when Edward Poppleton founded the Company
in our hometown of Colwyn Bay, North Wales, the people at Poppleton have
dedicated their talents to providing a quality product. At first under the
guidance of Edward and his son Arthur, our core business centered on radiator
repairs for the newly emerging car repair sector. |
