Installation Teams Awarded "Training initiative of the Year" H&V News Awards - 1999 - Update: In April 1999, Poppleton succeeded in winning the Accolade of "Training Initiative of the Year" in the annual H&V News awards. This award recognized the company's commitment to training and the innovative way in which Poppleton delivered high quality training in the workplace. The objective set out in the submission for the award was to ensure that by the end of 2001 all company site personnel with a Grade of Craftsman or above would hold an NVQ Level 3. The company achieved this objective in December 1999 when we were able to present a further seven employees with NVQ Level 3 and one employee with NVQ level 2. Those holding NVQ's and working for the company include: Emyr Jones - NVQ Level 3 Darren Wright - NVQ Level 2 In addition to these a further five men are working towards either level
3 or level 2 in Mechanical Engineering Services (ductwork) at the time
of publication. |

| Manufacturing Facility |
The depth of experience in our manufacturing facility is immense, and we are proud to have skilled sheetmetal workers with City and Guilds or NVQ qualifications leading our manufacturing team. We are continually training sheetmetal workers with Garry Taylor and Lee both attending day release college to further enhance their skill set and achieve both NVQ and City and Guilds in Sheetmetal work. This level of expertise comes into its own as we manufacture ductwork
in alluminium, stainless steel, plastic, as well as galvanized sheetmetal. |

| CAD and Estimating |
With a Degree in Engineering, HNC and City and Guilds qualifications, our CAD engineers are amongst the very best in the UK. They have considerable depth of experience and are able to produce CAD drawings of the highest quality. Our trainee estimator will also be working towards his NVQ Level 3 in
Estimating. |

| Clean Air |
Longevity of any company is based on the quality of the staff who work in the business and this commitment to training sits well with our performance to date and our potential for the future Our senior managers were the first non-US residents to secure the NADCA Certification for Ductwork Cleaning in January of 1995. As a sign of our commitment to this professional body, Nigel Edwards-Hughes who heads up Clean Air Services, returned and renewed his qualification in January 1998. |
